Be wary of what you read in weblogs: There is no nihil obstat and imprimatur on the web to protect you. All blogs contain a large portion of opinion and bias, and some may contain frank errors. Below, I list blogs that I have found very well written in the past. However, recognition of the following blogs should not be considered personal endorsement of the opinions contained therein, especially when content is not consistent with Church teaching.

• Andrew Cusack — An interesting personal blog of a young traditionalist Catholic New Yorker who attends the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Full of wit, wisdom and interesting anecdote, this blog is sure to amuse. Mr.Cusack is particulary adept at recounting tales of architectural history.
• The Cafeteria is Closed — An end to luke-warm ‘cafeteria Catholicism’!
• Catholic Analysis — Features analysis of current Catholic issues by Oswald Sobrino, JD, MA, and graduate student in scripture at Sacred Heart Major Seminary, Detroit, MI.
• Catholic and Enjoying It (Mark Shea) — A little untidy, this blog allows respected author Mark Shea to publish his ponderings.
• Catholics in the Public Square — Principally discusses Catholic politicians and their stances on moral and political issues.
• First Things’ On the Square — Weblog of First Things contributors. Also see The Catholic Thing — Whereas First Things discusses politics and religion in general, this new blog run by First Things editors presents an exclusively Catholic perspective.
• Fish Eaters — As modern ’soldiers of Christ’, Tracy (’Vox Clamantis’) and Joseph (’Quis Ut Deus’) created this traditionalist site to educate Christians about the beauty of Catholic orthodoxy and about the errors of Protestantism. The site is complemented by a busy forum.
• Free to Be Catholic — Bill Quinan’s blog devoted to Catholicism, economics and politics.
• Hermeneutic of Continuity — Reform of the reform.
• Ignatius Insight Scoop — Weblog of Ignatius Press’ authors and staff!
• In the Light of the Law — Peters is a lawyer… and a Catholic.
• Mirror of Justice — Catholic legal theory.
• New Liturgical Movement — Calling for ‘the Reform of the Reform,’ this blog is dedicated to promoting a renewal of liturgy, art and music called for by Pope Benedict XVI.
• Roman Catholic Vocations — Insightful and inspirational blog for those discerning a call to the religious life. Also relevant for those seeking to improve their interior, spiritual life.
• Rorate Cæli — Orthodox traditionalism.
• Shrine of the Holy Whapping — Self-proclaimed ‘Catholic Nerds’ share their thoughts on Catholic culture, spiritual life and other musings.
• What Does the Prayer Really Say (WDTPRS)? — Extremely important traditionalist blog from Father Zuhlsdorf.
• Whispers in the Loggia — Moderate blog of Rocco Palmo, well-known contributor to The Tablet. While he favors the post-Vatican-II Church, and sometimes takes ‘pot-shots’ at the SSPX, for the most part, his reportage is unmatched.
